CONICAL PADDLE MIXER

The Conical Paddle Mixer (CPM) is a batch mixer, designed for mixing, drying and reaction processes. It is compact, quick, efficient, and suitable for many applications in a diverse range of industries.

The Conical Paddle Mixer is a multi-purpose mixer for processes where high accuracy and fast mixing with limited product distortion are required. Conical Paddle Mixers are available in volumes from 50 to over 15,000 litres.

The Conical Paddle Mixer consists of a conical shaped mixing vessel, equipped with a central paddle rotor. When it rotates, the rotor creates a combination of vertical and axial motion in the vessel.

The paddles guide the product gently to the surface of the batch, where it is dispersed and the gravitational pull at the centre of the mixer forces the product back down to create continuous motion throughout the mixing cycle, even at low speed.

The mixing process can be optimized by controlling the mixing energy, which can be achieved by adjusting the rotation speed. The typical rotor speed of the conical paddle mixer is between 1 and 10 m/s.

    • Sterilisation and pasteurisation of product batches
    • High-temperature processing of powders and liquids
    • (Vacuum) drying at low temperature with liquid recovery

    • Outlets
      We have various outlet valves to choose from including side outlets, slide gate bottom outlets and ball segment valves.
    • Liquid spraying system
      A liquid spraying system can be fitted with air supported or non-air supported nozzles.
    • Sampler
      Our new heavy-duty sampler is suitable for handling critical materials with extended life time for seals and exceptional vacuum / overpressure tightness.
    • Lump breaker
      Special lump breaker for in the product zone with liquid injection (optional) and special sealing in the shaft.
    • Access door
      Optimal dust and watertight closure on access door using FDA-approved seals.
