PNEUMATIC CONVEYORS

Pneumatic conveying utilizes compressed air to move bulk materials or powders through a closed pipeline from one point to another, such as from a truck to a silo or within an industrial facility. This method is both efficient and reliable for quickly transporting substances, powders, granules, and other fluidizable materials.

There are two primary types of pneumatic conveying: pressure conveying, where overpressure propels powders, granules, or pellets through an air or gas stream, and vacuum conveying, where underpressure is used to move materials by drawing in air or gas.

The selection of the most appropriate pneumatic conveying system depends on factors such as particle size, shape, density, hardness, fat and moisture content, transport distance, and energy efficiency.
