Hosokawa Micron & COVID-19 - UPDATE

At Hosokawa Micron we are closely monitoring the current situation and developments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). During these challenging times, we keep committed to protect the health and safety of our employees, customers and partners.

Here is a summary of the most important measures we have taken and what this means for you and us.

General health & safety measures

We are strictly following the guidelines and recommendations from the government and the national health authority. As a result, we have taken all necessary measures which also allow us to maintain our operational business activities.

For example, we are maximizing social distancing and most of our office staff temporarily work from home. Meetings are to be held via phone and video conferencing as much as possible.


We allow no more than two people per customer to visit us. Each visitor has to fill out and return a checklist before their visit, to ensure they have not been sick or around someone who has been in the last 14 days.

Visitors are subject to strict hygiene instructions, which include regularly washing hands, no hand-shaking, sneezing/coughing in a flexed elbow, use of paper tissues, disinfection gel and/or wipes, gloves and - when 1.5 m distance cannot be guaranteed - face masks.

Testing & Contract Manufacturing

Customer testing and contract manufacturing activities continue to take place. During these activities we prefer to use digital solutions, such as video conferencing and email, to communicate with the customer as 'real-time' as possible. When the customer insists on attending physically, the conditions for visitors as mentioned above apply.

After Sales Service

Service is a top priority for us and we remain committed to providing the exceptional service you've come to expect from us. Our team members are available through all the regular channels you are used to.

Service on location is limited under strict conditions: our service engineers travel separately, using their own vehicle. Before visiting, the customer has to inform us how they guarantee a healthy and safe work situation for our personnel.

Customer visits

Visits to customers by Hosokawa staff are limited under strict conditions: our employees can only travel by car, with a maximum of two people per vehicle, with the passenger in the back right seat. Before visiting, the customer has to inform us how they guarantee the health and safety of our personnel.
