KONA Powder and Particle Journal is a refereed, peer-reviewed, scientific journal that publishes articles on powder and particle sciences and technology. KONA has been published annually since 1983 and is distributed to researchers, members of the scientific community, universities and research libraries throughout the world.
KONA Powder & Particle Journal is issued by the Hosokawa Powder Technology Foundation, a public service corporation established by Mr. Masuo Hosokawa and authorized by the Japanese Government.
The purpose of the Foundation is to contribute to the advancement of powder technology. For that purpose, the Foundation performs various activities besides issuing KONA Powder and Particle Journal such as granting funds for research and academic meetings, presenting the KONA Award and organizing symposiums.
'Kona' is Japanese and means 'Powder'.
