Gelatin

Gelatin is a translucent, colourless, brittle, flavourless solid substance, derived from the collagen inside animal skin and bones. It's commonly used as a gelling agent in food, pharmaceuticals, photography and cosmetic manufacturing. Gelatin is found in some gummy candies as well as other products such as marshmallows, gelatin dessert, and some low-fat yogurts.

Hosokawa Micron’s complete solutions for processing gelling agents typically incorporate powder premixing with Nauta® mixers, powder dosing, pneumatic conveying, powder milling, product classification (sieving) and handling, packaging and storage of the final product. Special nozzles can be installed in the upper section of the blender for cleaning.

The advantages to this combination are precise mixing of different grades and different types of gelatin; flexible batch sizes; variable mixing processes; minimal residue after unloading the blender and no more need to segregate whilst discharging.

Our total solutions for use in the food industry are designed in accordance with the latest EHEDG hygienic design regulations and ATEX directives and we are constantly updating our product range to meet the latest customer and industry requirements for hygiene, cleaning and dust explosivity.
